HFF Series - High frequency fundamental

Telecommunication systems are forwarding to the age of much higher density, speed, capacity. Accordingly, communications such as optoelectronics transmission, and wireless communication are shifted to further higher frequency, and crystal units that affect standard signal performance over whole systems are required higher frequency.
Now, crystal manufacturers have been producing overtone crystal oscillators, PLL crystal oscillators, SAW crystal oscillators for demands of these higher frequency. However, there are merit and demerit respectively on these high frequency products, especially, as frequency is higher, it is difficult to cope with both phase noise/jitter specification and frequency control range. In order to resolve this problem, high frequency fundamental crystal units are essential, however, since frequency of crystal units is in inverse proportion to thickness of crystal blanks, the blanks are required to be thinner. But as they are thinner, strength of blanks is weaker. As a result, these blanks cannot be used in practical mass production, and high frequency fundamental crystal units are difficult to supply in market.
Our HFF series use *Inverted Mesa blank technology, and enable to offer up to 270.0 MHz in fundamental mode. This technology provides excellent long term aging, shock-resistance and extended pullability at much higher frequency.
